Youthemia is the brainchild of Lisa Strømme, a British/Norwegian writer, youth coach, creativity coach and teacher. Lisa has worked with young people for over 25 years, teaching privately and running courses in creative writing, the creative process, English and drama. She is a certified Youth Well Being and Youth Resilience Coach and received her ICF-approved coaching training at the Youth Coaching Institute.
When Lisa returned to teaching in high schools and began working with Gen Z, she noticed that a shift had occurred since her own children were at school, and that today’s young people were struggling with numerous issues that did not exist before smart phones, social media and the Covid 19 pandemic.
Helping young people come to terms with the consequences of their extraordinary childhoods and overcome the challenges of our modern society and culture became a personal calling and resulted in the creation of Youthemia.
To help young people all over the world find their path to a truly fulfilling life.
Lisa's mission:
"In each of us there is work to be done; we are all moving towards a greater awareness of who we truly are, evolving. I cannot do this work for anyone, no one can, but I can be a presence, there to listen, to reflect, with empathy and compassion, and in that reflection to show my clients the wonder of themselves and the tremendous gifts they possess behind the fog of self-doubt and the illusion of the external world."
